ABOUT KERALA
Kerala is nestled in the southwest part of India along the Malabar Coast. On November 1, 1956, the States Reorganisation Act led to the formation of this beautiful state which combines numerous regions speaking the common language called Malayalam. The state shares boundaries with Karnataka to the north and northeast and with Tamil Nadu to the south and east. It is commonly known as the land of coconut as it has never ending array of coconut palms. The state is sandwiched between the Western Ghats from the east and the Lakshadweep Sea from the west. The state holds the twelfth spot as the largest state by population and is divided into 14 districts. Thiruvananthapuram is the capital city of this state, while Malayalam is its official language. It is the state with lowest population growth in India.
Day Wise Itinerary:
Day 1: Cochin – Wonderla Day visit
On arrival at Ernakulam Railway station and direct transfer to o explore Wonderla. Back to the hotel by evening . Overnight stay at Cochin hotel.
Day 2: Cochin – Second day Fort Kochi sightseeing
After breakfast Ready for Cochin Sightseeing, Today being the day to explore in cochin. *Cochin*also known as the Queen of Arabian Sea, is the best place to start your Kerala tour. Kochi is blended with several historical and cultural places. The main tourist attractions in Cochin includes historical churches and monuments in Fort Kochi and Mattancherry. Few Sightseeing Places for Sightseeing Includes: Fort Kochi : the ancient Fort Kochi is where you can get acquainted with Kerala’s rich history, culture, and heritage. This fort exhibits the traits of the different cultures of English, Dutch and Portuguese infused in its age-old architecture. Jewish Synagogue : The Jewish Synagogue in Kochi is the oldest of its kind in the Commonwealth of Nations.
Day 3: Cochin to Alleppey – Transfer and Houseboat Stay
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey to board Houseboat – The highlight of Kerala Tour. Check in time is 01:00 PM and cruise starts with lunch. Delight in the facilities and amenities in your houseboat and pass through the lush coconut lagoons, never-ending paddy fields, narrow canals and coir villages. Witness the local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, and ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. Food will be served onboard. Overnight stay in houseboat at Alleppey
Day 4: Alleppey to Cochin – Departure
After check out from the Hotel and drive to Cochin Airport / railway station (depend on your departure place) for your flight / train back home, feeling contented about a wonderful holiday you spent in the God’s Own Country.
