Kalinga is known to be a powerful kingdom as early as the time of the Kurukshetra battle. Srutayudha, the king of the Kalinga joined the camp of the Kourava in the battle and was killed in the battle by Bhimasena with his two heroic sons: Bhanumana and Ketumana. After the Mahabharata War a new Kshetriya dynasty ruled over Kalinga and it is known from the Buddhist work ‘Mahagovinda Suttanta’ that the glory and power of Kalinga was restored within a short period. According to the Puranas 32 Kshetriya kings ruled over Kalinga after the Mahabharata War up to the time of Mahapadmananda who ascended the throne of Magadha in 362 B. C.

Day Wise Itinerary

1st Day: Bhubaneswar to Puri – Arrival & Transfer & En-Route Sightseeing (Dhaulagiri)

Upon arrival in Bhubaneswar, Our cab will receive guests at Bhubaneswar Station/Airport, Then drive to puri En-route visit Dhauli( the Peace pagoda). 108 Shivling Temples, Lingaraj Temple. After reaching Puri, Check in at the hotel and enjoy at puri beach. Overnight at Puri

2nd Day: Puri – Sightseeing & Chilika Day Excursion

After breakfast visit for darshan at shri jagannath temple, Gundicha Temple, Loknath temple then depart for Satpada, Chilka. The fancy land of Irwadi Dolphins.Entire day sightseeing of Satpada. Evening return to Puri, enjoy it at Puri beach. Overnight at Puri.

3rd Day: Puri to Konark – Day Excursion

Morning after Breakfast guests will leave for Konark, on the way visit Ramachandi Temple, Chandrabhaga Beach, Konark Sun Temple. Evening drive back to puri, Overnight stay at puri

4th Day: Puri to Bhubaneswar – Transfer & Full day sightseeing

Morning after breakfast guests will leave for Bhubaneswar, Upon arrival at Bhubaneswar visit Lingaraj Temple, Rajarani Temple, Mukteswar Temple. Khandagiri & Udaygiri. Check in at the hotel, Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar

5th Day: Bhubaneswar – Nandankanan local sightseeing

Morning after Breakfast guests will leave for Bhubaneswar and visit few more places like Nandankanan Zoo (Monday Closed) Tribal museum (Monday Closed) Overnight stay at bhubaneswar.

6th Day: Bhubaneswar – Departure

Morning after Breakfast guest will leave for airport Happy ending journey with sweet memories
